The right aerial equipment for the right shot

Aerial Craft provides film and TV specialist equipment built around professional aerial cinematography.

Rather than pushing one setup for every brief, Aerial Craft uses different systems depending on the production, the shot design and the camera requirements. That means better results, more efficient shoot days and equipment that fits the job properly.

Core aerial systems

Inspire 3

The industry-standard platform for a huge amount of modern film and TV aerial work.

Ideal for:

  • TV drama
  • Fast setup days

Why the equipment matters

For experienced production teams, it’s not about a spec list, it’s about what the kit actually allows you to achieve on the day.

The right aerial equipment helps:

Built for production reliability

Aerial Craft’s approach to kit is shaped by real production experience, what actually works on set, not just what looks good on paper.

That means:

  • Proven, reliable systems we trust on set
  • Seamless compatibility with established camera workflows
  • Professional rigging, set up for stability and repeatability
  • Backup kit in place to keep the day moving if something fails
  • Cutting-edge equipment, selected for performance and reliability, not just headline specs

FAQs

What cameras and lenses are supported?

That depends on the platform. Our heavy-lift systems support full cinema camera packages, including ARRI Alexa, Sony Venice and RED, paired with the same lens systems used on ground cameras.

Inspire 3 uses its own interchangeable DL mount lenses, covering a wide spherical range from 18mm to 75mm, alongside 10mm and 90mm options. This gives full coverage for most production requirements, with standard ND and filtration available.

Do you supply operators with the equipment?

Yes. Aerial Craft provides complete, production-ready aerial crew. We don’t offer dry hire.

We supply specialist pilots, operators and focus pullers across the UK, working with a trusted team of experienced freelancers we collaborate with regularly.

When would you use heavy-lift instead of Inspire 3?

Heavy-lift is used when the production requires an exact match to the ground camera and lens package—ensuring complete consistency in image, depth and optical characteristics.

Is heavy-lift always necessary for cinema work?

No. Inspire 3 is capable of delivering a large amount of high-end drama and film work.

Heavy-lift is used where it genuinely adds value, typically where exact camera and lens matching or specific creative requirements make it the right choice.
